Our group is generally made up of folks that hail from the Derby City and surrounding Ohio River Valley area, who all have a passion for Microsoft SQL Server and the technologies that surround it. 

We are a diverse group with skills ranging from "accidental DBA's" to senior administrators, seasoned developers to big data analysts and all of the other backgrounds that fall in between.

Join us on Thursday, May 12 for the next meeting of the Louisville SQL Server and Power BI Users Group! We will meet at the Humana Training Center in the Waterfront Plaza in downtown Louisville. We plan to have food arrive at 11:30am, with the meeting starting at 11:45am and ending at 1:00pm (our normal schedule).

This presentation will look at several of the key domains of data management, including some of the principles behind governance, database management, security, and business intelligence.  Some of the use cases will include how Republic Bank & Trust Company is managing the retention and disposition of data, security, and access privileges to sensitive information in a highly regulated environment.

About Ross:
Ross Bobenmoyer is a Vice President and the Information Security Officer for Republic Bank & Trust Company based in Louisville, KY. A graduate of Wabash College, Ross has spent the past 20 years in various security, technology, and compliance roles in the banking and healthcare industries, including BankOne and Johnson and Johnson.
