Welcome to the Louisville SQL Server & Power BI Users Group!

Our group is generally made up of folks that hail from the Derby City and surrounding Ohio River Valley area, who all have a passion for Microsoft SQL Server and the technologies that surround it. 

We are a diverse group with skills ranging from "accidental DBA's" to senior administrators, seasoned developers to big data analysts and all of the other backgrounds that fall in between.

'R'ight for me? - An introduction to Data Science and R for the SQL Professional

Join us on Thursday, November 17th for the next meeting of the Louisville SQL Server and Power BI Users Group! We will meet at the TEK Systems building on north Hurstbourne. Meeting information is as follows:

Topic:  'R'ight for me? - An introduction to Data Science and R for the SQL Professional.

Description:  There are many myths floating around Data Science, R Language and various terms associated. A lot of people are uncertain and unsure of what that means for them as sql professional, and how it is going to change what they work on. This presentation is an attempt to dispel some of those myths and present a practical overview of data science as it applies to us as SQL professionals. You will come away with a better understanding and perspective on how to gain skills that fit into the vast world of data science, while staying grounded with SQL Server as your core skill.
